The
2008, Anchorage West Little League Season at the Lyn Ary
Ball Fields has started for all age groups!
Come watch
children from your neighborhood, play "America's game", at
the most scenic ball fields in Anchorage! Anchorage
West Little League plays our home games at the Marston
Fields, overlooking the coastal trail and the Knik Arm,
just below Lynn Ary Park. On a clear day you can see
Mt. McKinley from your seat at the game.
We
have more teams this year and the kids are playing some
good ball. Continuing field improvements for the
last several years have accumulated to make the Lyn Ary
Fields some of Anchorage's favorites.

Thanks to all who
came out and helped with AWLL's Spring Field Day at Lyn Ary Park
on May 10!
Field Day was a great success, the fields look great and
your help is MUCH appreciated!
The next big event like this will be in the late summer at
end of season, Field Day, as we take down our equipment
and prepare for winter.
Please remember
the Municipality of Anchorage does not provide ANY
ongoing labor or money for field maintenance or
preparation in support of Little League (they do supply
trash cans and a port-a-potty in the park). Anchorage
West Little League volunteers do all the work, mow and
water the fields, raise the money, and run the baseball
season. Please show your support for Anchorage West
Little League this Saturday and help make Field Day
run smoothly. Your help will ensure the necessary
work is completed in time for the ball season starting
next week.

service area has expanded! This represents a great
recruiting opportunity and means that more of your child's
friends and school mates can be in the same league.
